TestDaF

To apply to study at a German university a high level of German is required. For many universities passing the TestDaF is accepted as fulfilment of their language requirements.

Course description

The course prepares you for the TestDAF exam using material developed especially for this purpose. There are two 45-minute lessons a day.

TestDaF exam

The TestDAF exam is not taken at Colon. The exam is taken at the Institut für interkulturelle Bildung Hamburg e.V. (IBH). The current examination fee is €175.00

Open End course

Open-end courses are continual courses. These courses can be joined at any time.

Course levels

Our German courses are offered in accordance with the Common European Framework of the European Commission for Language Learning. This framework has six levels A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2. Courses are offered at all levels, elementary courses (A1-A2), intermediate courses (B1-B2) and advanced courses (C1-C2).

The following table gives a short explanation of the language skills you will acquire at each level. For each level approx. 250 lessons in an intensive course (5x5) are necessary. For a detailed description of the language skills acquired per course level, click here.
